We bottle what the vineyard gives us each year as unadulterated as possible. We produce wines that reflect the typicality of their vintage and origin.
With different conditions each year, every wine is unique and may change with time - like a true chameleon.
In the wine cellar, we limit any intervention to an absolute minimum.
We cultivate 0.4 hectares of steep slopes exclusively by hand. We use ecological plant protectants and do not use herbicides.
We try to make a contribution to species protection by allowing greenery to grow between the rows. It is a refuge and source of food for numerous insects and other animals.
Our vines grow on porphyry rock. This volcanic rock is extremely rare in German vineyard soils. Porphyry gives our wines a clear, precise structure, fine minerality and a fresh, citrus-driven aromatic profile.
We deliberately do without a tractor and a car. We transport work materials and equipment with our e-bike and bicycle trailer. We only borrow a car to transport grapes during the harvest.
