Chameleon wine Konrad: Vineyard work

Sustainable viticulture

Visit the Chameleon wine Konrad winery at the picturesque Kuhberg in Schriesheim, where we cultivate 0.7 hectares of vineyards with traditional and organic viticulture (without certification). Our cultivation methods are deeply rooted in closeness to nature and sustainability. We cultivate our vineyards exclusively by hand, which helps us to carefully control every detail of cultivation and ensure the quality of our grapes.

Steep slopes and terraced vineyards

Our vineyards are characterized by their steep slopes and terraced structure. This not only presents a challenge in terms of care, but also shapes the character of our wines. The vineyards are planted with old vines, whose age varies between 35 and 70 years. These old vines contribute significantly to the intensity and complexity of the aromas of our wines.

100 % handwork

The use of machinery in our vineyards is very limited. The only machine in the traditional sense is a battery-powered brush cutter, which helps us maintain the vineyards. For transportation, we rely on the most environmentally friendly solution: an e-bike, optionally with a bicycle trailer, is our faithful means of transport, which enables us to work in an environmentally friendly way.
